Food and Farming Workshops
During 2010 we have developed our Food & Farming Workshops and have run many successful days over the summer. The sessions are suitable for all children including those with disabilities. The parents have loved it too! We have run some of the Workshops in conjunction with Aiming High in Portsmouth.
There is a one day package and this would include:
- Two hours contact in the morning & two contact hours in the afternoon for the workshop (usually 10am-12noon then 1pm-3pm, but this can be flexible)
- Three members of MCFE staff to ensure maximum involvement for the clients
- At least two of each type of animal for lots of hands on fun
- Craft activities linked to Food & Farming
- Hands on farming activities to bring real farm processes in a small scale way to the children
- Independent play area with farm related story CDs, books, jigsaws, lego, puppets etc
- Make & Take food activity - this sometimes gets eaten before the children leave! With a staff member who has an up to date Food Hygiene Certificate
Price (four hours contact time and all resources): Contact us to discuss your requirements.
